Please ensure that you take time to read through the following booking conditions before you complete the Booking form, as these will form the basis of your contract with Classic Crete.

1. Booking Procedure

Provisional bookings can be made by e-mail or over the telephone and will be held for 10 days, pending receipt of your deposit. A booking form must then be completed and e-mailed to us with a deposit of £50 per person in order to secure the booking.

We will then issue confirmation by e-mail, which forms the basis of your contract with us. It will also indicate the balance due at least 8 weeks before the date of departure. We reserve the right to cancel your booking if payment is not received by the due date and apply cancellation charges as set out below. Any bookings made within 8 weeks of your departure date, must be paid in full.

2. Alterations by You

Any changes, including name changes, that you may wish to make to your booking after the confirmation invoice is issued are subject to an administration charge of £15 per person. We will make every effort to assist in any way we can, subject to availability. You will also be liable to pay any additional charges that may be imposed by the relevant suppliers. Any alterations requested within 8 weeks of departure will be treated as a cancellation of the booking and cancellation charges will apply unless such changes are not material and are easily accommodated.

3. Cancellation by You

If you need to cancel your holiday for any reason, the following charges will apply. We must point out to you that once a deposit and booking form have been received; these documents form the basis of a contract between yourself and Classic Crete. Your cancellation must be in writing. Any cancellation of a booking up to 8 weeks before arrival means forfeiture of any deposit money paid to and held by Classic Crete. Cancellations received less than 8 weeks prior to your arrival date will mean the full cost of the booking (less any deposit already paid) being claimed from the client.

Please note that these charges may be reclaimable under the terms of any insurance policy you have taken out.

It is therefore imperative that all clients are covered by such insurance.

4. Alteration or Cancellation by Us

In the unlikely event that we will have to change or cancel your holiday, we undertake to notify you as soon as possible. Classic Crete will not be liable for any loss or damage arising in connection with your holiday caused by any matter outside the reasonable control of Classic Crete. This includes, but is not limited to, Acts of God, civil disturbance, strikes or industrial action, acts of government, failure of public supplies (e.g. water and electricity), failure of local transport to convey clients to their departure/destination, failure of mechanical equipment e.g. air conditioning and boilers. However, we will make all reasonable efforts to remedy such equipment failures. The conditions imposed by all carriers shall be deemed to be accepted by the client and are available on request.

5. Our Responsibility

Classic Crete acts as a booking agent for the relevant suppliers of accommodation, car hire and other services. We do not own or operate any of the accommodation, car hire and any other services offered. Therefore, you and we are bound by the contractual conditions of the relevant suppliers. For this reason we cannot accept liability for any loss, damages, costs, claims or injuries of whatsoever nature, except for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for direct damages resulting from our negligence which could reasonably have been foreseen as a result of our negligence. In no event does Classic Crete accept liability for any business losses or losses of profit. Classic Crete is responsible for providing the holiday as confirmed and to a reasonable standard. The properties have been chosen primarily for their location and appeal. In selecting the accommodation and service providers, we take reasonable care to ensure that the accommodation is maintained and services are provided to a high standard, complying with all local laws and conventions where appropriate. We have made every effort to ensure that descriptions of accommodation and amenities are accurate but we will not be liable in the event that any aspect of the holiday fails for reasons outside our control. The accommodation is strictly for the use of the passengers as shown on the booking form and any sub-letting, sharing or assignment is prohibited.

6. Your Responsibility

Clients are responsible for leaving the accommodation in the same condition as at the start of their holiday. Any breakages should be reported to the owner or our local representative and paid for locally. The client is also liable for any charges incurred from damage or abuse of property overseas.

During your holiday, you are also responsible for behaving in a manner that does not cause any damage, inconvenience or distress to properties and their owners, other guests, suppliers and their employees and our staff.

7. Passports/Visas/Flights

Clients are responsible for ensuring that they hold valid passports and any other documents required for their journey. A full 10-year EU/British passport, valid for at least 6 months after your return date, is now required in Greece.

It is also your responsibility to arrive at airports or any departure point in time to comply with check in and departure time requirements as imposed by your carrier.

8. Pricing Policy
